On July 7th, the FMS Journal Rating Guide 2025, jointly developed by the Chinese Society of Optimization, Overall Planning and Economical Mathematics, the Society of Management Science and Engineering of China, and the Systems Engineering Society of China, was officially published. Three journals of our school: Documentation, Information & Knowledge (in Chinese), Journal of Information Resources Management (in Chinese), and Data and Information Management were included in the Guide.

Among the three journals, Documentation, Information & Knowledge (in Chinese) and Data and Information Management have been included for the third consecutive time, while Journal of Information Resources Management (in Chinese) has entered the Guide for the first time.

The two Chinese journals were included in the T2 category of high-quality Chinese journals, and Data and Information Management was included in the D category of high-quality international journals. The FMS Journal Rating Guide represents a general consensus on high-quality journals in the field of management science. The successful inclusion of the three journals fully demonstrates that the academic quality and academic impact of our school’s journals have been highly recognized and affirmed by the academic community. It is also the result of the long-term care and support for the journals from Wuhan University, the school, and the Center for Studies of Information Resources, Wuhan University.

In the FMS Journal Rating Guide 2025, a total of seven Chinese journals in the library and information were included. In addition to the two journals of our school, the other five are Journal of the China Society for Scientific and Technical Information (in Chinese, T1), Journal of Library Science in China (in Chinese, T1), Library And Information Service (in Chinese, T2), Data Analysis and Knowledge Discovery (in Chinese, T2) and E-Government (in Chinese, T2). The high-quality international journals cover 32 secondary disciplinary fields, among which 17 journals are included in the field of library and information management.

The full text of the FMS Journal Rating Guide 2025 can be downloaded and accessed on the FMS official website (http://www.fms-journal.net/). The Guide was first published in 2020 and underwent its first update in 2022. It was updated again in 2025, selecting and recommending 1,183 international management science journals, which are classified into four grades: A, B, C, and D. Among them, there are 102 Grade A journals, 375 Grade B journals, 493 Grade C journals, and 213 Grade D journals. In addition, the Guide includes 94 Chinese journals, classified into 28 T1 journals and 66 T2 journals.
